Wildcat Mountain Wander 300k
This route splits off from the Nowhere but Norwalk 200k and Back in Black 400k at about 8.5 miles (gotta make the distance!) and then again just after Yuba and also takes a different route into Ontario through Wildcat Mountain State Park. Refueling stops in Norwalk and Sparta are recommended (Sparta is an open control so whatever’s your pleasure) and there are also opportunities at Cashton (109 miles), LaFarge (127 miles) and Viola (148 miles) so you’ll be able to restock as needed.
Like the Norwalk 200k, there aren’t any crazy steep climbs (max grade is 12.1% but it’s early in the ride) but being the Driftless there are a lot of them so pace yourself. Don’t fret though, there are also a number of sections where you’ll be able to roll along and make good time.
