Fitchburg Frolic 400K

For this new for 2022 ride, we abandon our moniker and ride east through the heavily glaciated regions of SE Wisconsin.

The ride starts at the Wyndham Garden Inn Fitchburg and head east across the Lower Yahara River Trail boardwalk as we make our way out to Holy Hill through the Loew Lake Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. From this high point of SE WI, we descend our way through Sinissippi Lake and the Horicon Marsh before we turn back towards home through the classic bucolic countryside of Southern WI.

After 202 miles we’ll head south for a “quick 50″mile loop that’ll complete the 400K distance.

This is an ACP sanctioned event, 251 miles, 9,562 feet of climbing. Ridewithgps route here

At 36ft/mi this isn’t a hilly route by typical Driftless standards, but bring your legs, just in case!
